NEA Fund Congressional Recommendations

Your elected leaders on the VEA Fund Executive Committee examined the records, interviewed the candidates and studied the questionnaires to pick the best congressional candidates for public education.  Then, President Boitnott moved the recommendation of these candidates at the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education Council meeting in Washington.  This year, NEA concurred with all of our Virginia recommendations.

The NEA Fund recommends:
Glen Nye in the 2^nd
Bobby Scott in the 3^rd
Tom Perriello in the 5^th

Jim Moran in the 8^th

Rick Boucher in the 9^th
Jeff Barnett in the 10^th
Gerry Connolly in the 11^th
Targeted Races are in bold.  Targeting is done in races that are deemed to be competitive. 
Members in the targeted districts may receive mail pieces and phone calls from VEA and/or NEA.  While we do not use dues money to contribute to candidates, we do work to inform members of the recommendations.
